About Ting Chen

UX designer at Amazon

Hi, I'm Ting Chen. I'm currently a UX designer at Amazon AWS, based in New York. I focus on user satisfaction and ensuring that products fulfill customers’ needs in the technology and beauty industries. I love to support and celebrate all the achievements of junior-mid level product designers. I want to be a mentor is because I so often see junior-mid level UI/UX designers struggling to present their ideas, products or services with their audiences. When I was a design student in school, I needed to create my portfolio website to find my first job. I struggled and doubted if I could create a website for myself. It took me 2 months to have a simple website but that website helped me land my first job. Now it has been more than 10 years since I created my first website and I have become a professional UI/UX designer. But the struggling memory still pops out sometimes. I have gained a vast UI/UX and business experience in the field and created many different digital experience for non-profit organizations, grocery stores, sports organizations, financial institutions, beauty brands, and big names like MAC cosmetics, JPMC, Estée Lauder, and Amazon. I hope I can use my learnings to ease new designers' professional journey.
