Role Summary:
As the Director of Engineering at Qdrant, I lead and scale our engineering organization, ensuring our teams build reliable, efficient, and high-performance vector search solutions. I work closely with product, business, and engineering leaders to align technical execution with business priorities.

Managing operations at New Relic One UI Platform that serves all observability, telemetry and applied intelligence experiences at New Relic. The natural glue to all those different experiences is also our Design System that makes sures visuals and UX is consistent across all of them.

As a Software Development Manager for online business at Mango I am leading a group of +100 Engineers across 14 different teams coaching them to adopt better development practises. Online business represents a strategic asset for the company growing at a very fast pace and representing a big part of current line of revenues.
Reason why I was hired at Mango was to develop a strong leadership and technical strategy that helped the company achieve its growth plans. That translates into aligning digital product and technology and create scalability plans for the business represented by a microservice architecture.

I was hired in Ofertia to become part of the Executive Board representing technology. At that time Ofertia was looking to adopt a more mature technical approach that could also empower new lines of business and diversification.
I led a team around 25 people formed by QA Engineers, Software Engineers, Operation Engineers and Data Scientists.

Impact achieved:
- Agile and development process optimisation.
- Microservices architecture design and first implementation.
- Alignment between technology and business that helped creating new lines of product.
- Hire and growth of IT team.

Hired back in Softonic to be part of the Executive Team and reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors to revamp engineering services and help the company pivot to a business strategy powered by new different lines of product. 
I led a team around 45 people formed by QA Engineers, Software Engineers, Operation Engineers, Data Scientists, Technical Managers and Agile Coaches.

Impact achieved:
- Engineering services revamped to adapt them to company new direction.
- Implementation of functional structure developed through 3 main axis across organizational, technical and individual KPIs.
- SOA architecture roll out. Uncoupling the coupled.
- Better time-to-market by just better development flows.
- Move on premise infrastructure to Google and AWS Cloud.
- Adoption of containers as a way to ship software powered by management / orchestration clusters.
- New lines of businesses and organizational mapping to power it.

Recruited to perform an Agile transformation in an organization based on a waterfall model and modernize software and infrastructure layers moving from a classical coupled software approach to SOA architecture powered by cloud services. 
I led a team of 50 engineers across different lines of products covering all product and business workflows. In addition I also led an offshore team to implement many different endpoints to consolidate service architecture.

Impact achieved:
- Top down agile methodologies adoption.
- Creation of logical software units to be assembled in software services.
- Implementation of BDD and UI automate testing.
- API endpoints implementation to consolidate service architecture.

Responsible for backend technologies in all products of the B2B division of the company which included advertisement technologies such as Softonic native ad inventory, tools for developers and different lines of affiliation products.
I led a team of 20 software engineers distributed among different Agile teams and coordinated by 4 tech leads.

Impact achieved:
- Consolidation of technical management in B2B division.
- Delivery of new lines of product that helped consolidate company strategy in B2B world.
- Implementation of new software services to modernize software architecture and oriented to a SOA approach.

Promoted to Software Development Manager to provide better alignment from all engineering teams to multiple business needs in a very challenging context for the company.
I led a team of 20 engineers including all company product portfolio from B2C to B2B services.

Impact achieved:
- TDD / BDD implementation.
- Transition from a relational data model to a NoSQL paradigm powered by Cassandra.
- Technical implementation of categories in the store moving from a flash deal type-of-business to permanent offers.
- Agile framework top down adoption coming from a waterfall model.
- Engineers retention and team building in a very volatile context impacted with high rotation.
- Implementation of different back office tools to simplify company workflows.

Responsible for aligning company growth with technical strategy in a context which scaling up infrastructure and resources was key to help succeed the company and its international expansion.

Impact achieved:
- Infrastructure scale up to help moving from 20 to 100 employees distributed across different facilities.
- Creation and development of different tools of Geographical Information Systems to gather real time data from sensors and devices to monitor the ground.
- Data and software platform delivery to offer customers different ways of accessing their information around works in progress.

Promoted to deal with different lines of public funding to impact in plastic manufacturing industry technological adoption by multiple projects and initiatives.

Impact achieved:
- Development of a collaborative work environment to coordinate European partners involved in the project.
- Project Coordinator for SOLIMM which aim was to conduct a study and research of Open Source software to be used in plastic sector SMEs. 
 -Coordination and development project of eSeSME whose purpose was providing plastics sector companies a technology platform capable of facilitating the sharing of technological resources and training among different companies at European level. Funded by the European Commission eTen.
- Coordination of Intplastic project aimed at creating the Virtual Center for Plastics to promote the use of ICT in transformed plastic sector. Funded by Interreg III-B call of the European Commission.

Hired as a web developer and operations engineers dealing with internal / external infrastructure and software layers.

Development of CRM software tool for medical healthcare industry.
