Staff Product Designer at Instacart
Staff Product Designer at Instacart
I am an immigrant that moved to Chicago from my hometown Bombay (Mumbai), in India. I have a BFA from The School of the Art Institute and a Masters in Design Innovation and Planning from Illinois Institute of Technology where I now teach future technologists the importance of humanity-centered design.
I currently work as a staff designer at Instacart hoping to make access to work easier for shoppers.
Most recently, I worked at Venmo as a lead product designer, where I led the launch of their recent redesign and their first credit card. Before that, I was at BMW, where I helped scale their booking app across 56 countries in over 2000+ dealerships.
I like shaping “how it could be” in the roles I take on. My joy comes from being an opportunity finder while connecting the dots between desirability, feasibility, and viability.
When not working, I am raising my ferociously independent daughter with my husband Thomas and finding time to travel and make art.
In addition, I am involved in many local organizations that include supporting and mentoring young people, especially those with immigrant backgrounds.

“It was really great chatting with Twisha, she shared her diverse design journey with me and the lessons she learned generously! I learned so much about the design career from the short session we had together. Would definitely recommend talking to Twisha!”
“Twisha is a delight! I spoke with her for 30 minutes but it felt like only 5 minutes had passed and yet I left with so much great advice and insight. She's down to earth and her advice is practical and smart. She's an incredible person and great person to connect with.”
