About Vernon L
Senior Content Designer at Atlassian
Hello! I've been working in UX Content for 12+ years, most recently at Atlassian and Oracle. I was actually planning to go straight to grad school out of college and start teaching (because I actually like teaching), but I started working instead. Feel like I get to do a bit of both when mentoring, and it's nice being able to pass on the knowledge and help people.

What mentees say
“Had such a great chat with Vernon - he walked me through his path from marketing copywriting to content design, and he shared his take on what separates mid-level from senior work: moving from screen-by-screen execution to system-wide strategy. His take on AI was grounded and hopeful, framing it as table stakes in the workflow but no replacement for human judgment.”
