Started as a junior developer in 2011, now a Senior Engineering Manager leading other EMs and their teams.
The hardest part of my career wasn't learning new tech - it was the IC-to-EM transition. I went from confident engineer to a new manager, figuring things out through trial and error.
Now I genuinely enjoy the coaching side together with the technical side. Seeing people have breakthroughs or navigate tough situations they were struggling with is what gets me excited.
I'm here because I remember how isolating that transition felt. Whether you're thinking about management, you're a new EM, or you're stuck on a tricky people problem - I've probably been there.
