About Vinay Mehra

Engineering Manager at Priceline

As a Director of Technology with 18 years of experience in enterprise software development, cloud architecture, and team leadership, I have always believed that growth is a shared journey. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring CUNY Tech Prep through mock interviews, career coaching, and portfolio reviews—helping them bridge the gap between academics and the tech industry.

In my current role, I lead cross-functional teams driving large-scale digital transformations, including cloud-native migration, CRM platform rebuilds, and AI-driven innovation. I serve as a coordinator and mentor within my organization, guiding engineers and aspiring leaders through technical, architectural, and career-related challenges.

I mentor because I truly believe that the right advice at the right time can make a huge difference in someone’s career. I’ve seen smart, capable people struggle—not because they weren’t good enough, but because they didn’t have someone to guide them, show them what’s possible, or help them build confidence. I’ve gone through that journey myself, growing from an engineer to a tech leader, and now I want to support others who are just starting out, changing paths, or facing new challenges. Mentorship is my way of giving back and also learning from others along
