Hi, I’m Vivek — a Lead Data Engineer with 15+ years of experience building scalable data platforms across healthcare, insurance, and finance.
I’ve designed pipelines using Spark, Python, and SQL, optimized cloud costs on AWS, and worked extensively with Snowflake and Adobe Analytics. A highlight was leading the redesign of a COVID contact tracing system that supported 13,000+ healthcare workers with real-time alerts and a modern cloud architecture.
In my current role in financial services, I lead initiatives in digital analytics and real-time data processing. I’ve mentored junior engineers, and helped peers grow into architectural and leadership roles. I’m especially passionate about bridging tech with business impact and guiding others on communication, system design, and career growth.
Outside work, I’m an avid photographer and drone cinematographer. My work — from cityscapes and moonrises to cinematic time-lapses — has been featured by regional collectives and photography communities. I love mentoring creatives on composition, storytelling, timelapse editing, and growing on platforms like Instagram.
