About Vlad Kanygin

UX/Product Design Team Lead at DXC Luxoft

Hi! If you're an entry-, junior- or mid-level designer with questions you think are "too basic", "not smart" or even "embarrassing" - you’re very welcome to ask them here.

I have an 11-year background in design (including graphic, branding, web and even architecture). Over the past 6 years, I've developed 25+ enterprise and B2B SaaS products for complex industries such as oil, gas, automotive, legal, HR, and others.

We can talk about:

• Starting as a UX/UI/Product Designer (for career-starters), • Changing career into the design field (for established professionals), • Building or improving your portfolio/CV (I don't have 100%-success-tips to land a job, but I have real analytics on what NOT to do), • Advice on your current design tasks

Interested in more advanced topics? You’re welcome as well:

• Design systems, • Design process with engineers/stakeholders, • Hands-on experience sharing.

I've also mentored at Women in Tech and AIESEC

Sessions with Vlad Kanygin

  • Quick call for hot questions (30 min): Opinion exchange on some problem
  • Is something wrong with portfolio? Let's look (60 min): We'll discuss how to approach your portfolio as a B2B product and what NOT to do. I'll also share the real portfolio metrics that I gathered myself: finally, here's some information backed by numbers, not just another opinion on LinkedIn. No portfolio at all? We'll break down its development into manageable pieces. Some of you may even enjoy the self-awareness exploration behind the material-gathering process. We can also speak about CV here.
  • Your topic that takes time (60 min): You - ask whatever you want. I - hope that I can give you at least one valuable sentence as an answer. Career development/changes, processes, relations with team, job search, chthonic panic on impostor syndrome or self-questioning "Why am I not valued as a designer in my company" - these kind of things.
