About Lim Xian You (XY)
Engineering Manager at Ex-Shopee
Hello! I'm an engineering manager and technical consultant who loves to solve problems and connect people with their passions.
I led engineering teams to iterate resilient systems, designed engineering and leadership training programmes, and mentored junior engineering managers in my previous work. When I'm not problem solving, I'm either reading books about the world or immersing in hip hop or latin dances.
Let's connect to share stories and inspire each other!

Sessions with Lim Xian You (XY)
- Career & Life Coaching (45 min): Join me in exploring how to further your career and life! Pre-requisites: - Open-minded to alternative perspectives (I will practice that too) - Willingness to think hard about open-ended questions - Patience for long-term compound growth
- System Design Deep Dive (45 min): A session where we talk about designing system architectures, whether for your work, your upcoming interview, or just pure interest. With my experience engineering large scale systems, including creating department-wide tech design templates, I'm happy to tackle unique design challenges with you!
- General Career Coaching (30 min): Let's get to know each other better both professionally and personally, and discuss about our challenges together! Note: I'll be travelling across different time zones from 2023 Oct - 2023 Dec, and ADPList doesn't yet support multiple segments of dates with different availability times - do message me directly to schedule a session if the timeslots don't work for you :)
