Hi, I'm Xin, a UX researcher at Microsoft with over 5 years of experience. I specialize in AI products like Copilot and mentor individuals looking to pursue research careers in both industry (e.g., UX research) and academia (e.g., Human-computer interaction study). With expertise in various research methods and data analysis tools including Python, I am pretty good at ensuring the right data is utilized to tackle pertinent questions. Beyond mentoring, I excel at providing insightful feedback on portfolios and CVs, offering specific and actionable recommendations for improvement. • UX Research for AI Products (with PPT) (60 min): A PPT slide is included to make this session well-structured and high-quality, the content covers: 1. UX research foundations: why do UX research, what is UX research? How to fit UX research in product developing phases and introduce some commonly used methods and metrics. 2. Real-life case study: walk you through a real-life case of Microsoft intelligent product. And explore some AI-related product and projects to show you the trending topics. 3. Share you some of my personal experience in how I leverage AI tools to help, enable, and empower my research work. 4. Introduce you the new challenges and issues for both product and UX research in an AI context. In addition to the above content, we can also do UX research portfolio and CV review and mock interview.
• UX Research 101 (45 min) (45 min): For short-term purpose like portfolio/case study/CV review, mock interview, and some on-demand consulting.
