About Yagmur Erten
Senior UX Researcher at BuzzFeed, University of Washington, MHCID
I am a Sr UX Researcher at BuzzFeed. As the first and only UX Researcher at a large organization, I am experienced in building a UX Research practice from scratch and collaborating with stakeholders who are not familiar with UX Research and its value.
In my free time, I enjoy playing with my dog Bimini, and explore new restaurants/food!

What mentees say
“What an awesome first mentorship session! Yagmur has been insanely helpful to me as a new UX designer/researcher. She offered honest advice on how to get past imposter syndrome, helpful groups and channels in UX to get started, resources for my portfolio, and more! After our conversation, I feel more confident and hopeful in my journey. Thank you Yagmur!”
“Yagmur was an awesome mentor and a wonderful person to talk with about UX Research! She is incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the field and what skills to develop to get into UX. As someone who just started a Masters with a UX Research focus, being able to speak with her was super helpful to say the least!”
