Hiii! I am Yulin. Just a little background info: so, I changed my major so many different things in college that I came to realize how everything might connected in a way.

With degrees in linguistics and educational technology, I have learned that my passion is connecting with the community of curious learners and job seekers--we can develop new learnings mutually.

I currently work as a UX (user experience) Researcher at Squarespace. The core skills I am developing at this stage of my career are collaborating closely with designers and engineers, taking the initiative to find answers for important questions, and digging into insights to share them effectively.

I am happy to share my experiences working at different industries and companies, my interview tips, and anything UX overall!

📺 A YouTube Channel: AonaTalks features educational content for prospective and current UX research professionals. I have been a big fan of her recent content and have been spreading words for her. You may start with this video: How to choose the right UX research method? (If you find the terminologies in this video familiar or at least interesting, you are thinking about user research!)

📗 A book: Think Like a UX Researcher: How to Observe Users, Influence Design, and Shape Business Strategy [This is my favorite book so far about UX Research. There are so many real-life scenarios that researchers face every day and strive to tackle!]

🔖 Two articles. One on what methods to select on what research question & stage, Comparing UX Research Methods (esp. the table towards the end of the article. And the other one on an important topic for research planning, Research Questions Are Not Interview Questions.
