My career has been a decade-long fascination with one question: how do you take overwhelming complexity and make it something a person can act on with confidence?
I started in fintech, designing trading platforms at Axi where milliseconds and clarity both matter. These days I'm a Senior Product Designer at Shell in London, designing platforms that help people running global energy terminals make sense of operational and financial data across 100+ sites. Often as the sole designer, which means I've learned to wear the researcher, BA, and systems-thinker hats too.
What I love most is the unglamorous middle of enterprise design: sitting with operators and traders, understanding how they actually work, then fighting for simplicity on their behalf. That, and design systems there's something deeply satisfying about building the thing that makes everyone else faster.
I mentor designers at Shell and have presented to rooms of 60+, and the thread through all of it is the same: I genuinely enjoy helping people get unstuck. Whether that's a designer trying to break into enterprise/B2B work, someone wrestling with a data-heavy product, or a solo designer in a big organisation wondering if they're doing it right (you are, it's just hard).
My goal here is simple: be the mentor I wish I'd had ten years ago.
