It's nice to meet you! Let's figure this out together... UX Designer, Storyteller, and Mentor.
I, like many, transitioned to a career in UX Design at the beginning of the pandemic. It has been the best decision!
Before UX Design, I worked in the Film and Hospitality Industries. In 2020, I was feeling restless when I discovered UX Design. So, I took a UX Design Diploma program at BrainStation. That's where I found it, the missing link! BrainStation hired me as a Teaching Assistant, and I was able to pass on what I had learned and mentor the next wave of Designers.
As a TA, I have mentored 50+ students and have marked and critiqued over 150+ student projects. It has been a pleasure to connect with students at a 1-on-1 level and in group settings. There is nothing better than leading a UX activity and seeing students better understand not just how to complete various UX tasks but also when and why these tasks can be useful during the design process.
Presently, I am a UX Designer at a mining technologies company.
I enjoy gaming, photography, printmaking, skiing, and going on adventures in my spare time.
