How to become a mentor on ADPList

Create a free ADPList account and fill in the mentor application: your role, your experience and the topics you can help with.
Review
Our team reads every application. It can take up to a week, and roughly 30% of applicants are approved.
Set up your profile
Add your availability, session length and a short bio so mentees can find and book you.
Host your first session
Mentees book a slot on your calendar and you meet by video call inside ADPList. The typical session is a 30-minute call. Send notes afterwards and ask for a review.
Free mentoring, not paid coaching
Mentoring on ADPList is volunteer work. Mentees pay nothing to book or attend a session, and mentors give their time for free. ADPList is not a place to sell coaching, so do not apply expecting an income from sessions. What you get instead is practice leading and coaching people, a global network of peers, and a public record of reviews from the people you helped.

What is the approval criteria to become a mentor on ADPList?
We review every mentor application by hand, which can take up to a week. Roughly 30% of applicants are approved, because we want mentors who are experienced and genuinely want to help. We look for:
- Relevant industry experience (5+ years)
- Past experience mentoring or leading junior to mid-level colleagues
- A genuine passion for mentoring and sharing what you know
- A practice of diversity and inclusion
I'm new. How does ADPList work for mentors?
Welcome! Start with Mentor University in our help center, which answers most first-week questions about sessions, your calendar and mentee expectations.

- Ask a fellow mentor. Approved mentors join the ADPList mentor community, and mentors usually go out of their way to help someone who is new. Ask, then pay it forward.
How much time does mentoring take?
You control your calendar. Open as few or as many slots as you like and pause your availability whenever you need to. The typical session is a 30-minute video call.
Do mentors get paid on ADPList?
No. ADPList is built around free mentoring: mentors volunteer their time and mentees pay nothing to book or attend a session. If you want to charge for coaching, ADPList is not the right place for that.
Why do reviews matter for mentors?
Reviews build trust in the community and help mentees choose a mentor who fits. Do not wait for a review to arrive: write your mentee a note on ADPList after the session and we include a prompt for them to review you.
Can mentors also be mentees?
Yes. Every mentor can book sessions with fellow mentors and learn from them too.
