A Letter to the Community: ADPList Wrapped 2025
On building the Globe, reflecting on the year, and what this community means to me.
Practice interviews out loud with Partner, get a scorecard, and know what to work on next.

Today we're opening Partner, your AI interview coach, to everyone on ADPList. It's a place to practice interviews out loud and see what to improve. Since the July beta, people have done more than 50,000 practice sessions with Partner.
You pick an interview and talk it through with an AI interviewer. It asks follow-up questions, adapts to your answers, and never just hands you the answer. When you finish, you get a scorecard that tells you where you stand and what to work on next.
Most interview prep happens alone. You rehearse answers in your head, and no one tells you what landed and what didn't. Partner gives you a way to say it out loud, see where it held up, and go again.
I've mentored on ADPList for five years, and I still struggle to carry that one hour into the other 167 hours of my week. Nearly half of the sessions booked on ADPList are about getting a job: resume reviews, changing roles, mock interviews, or negotiating an offer. So we built a coach you can practice with anytime, at 3pm on a Tuesday or 2am the night before, and then bring your best answers to your mentor.

Partner is free to use right now. You can browse the interviews without an account. Create a free account when you're ready to start one.
Choose from company-style Design, Product and Research interviews, or pick a career practice session. You can also paste a real job posting and practice for that exact role.
There's no setup before your first interview. Partner starts from your ADPList profile. After your scorecard, you can upload a PDF of your CV or add your LinkedIn or portfolio link so later questions fit your experience, or choose "Maybe later." You can update it any time.
Sessions are voice only. You speak, the interviewer listens and follows up, like a real conversation. Live captions show each question and your words as you go.
There's a mic check first, and nothing starts until you press Start interview. During the session you can mute, share your screen, or end the interview whenever you want. Your first interview is short. Later ones go a little deeper, and each one wraps up on its own.
When the interview ends, your scorecard is ready. It gives you a session score and a clear verdict, plus a readiness meter for the role you're practicing for.
It starts with the one gap that matters most, so you know where to focus first. Then it breaks your answers down across five skills, each scored out of 10:
Next is "Reframe these answers." It takes lines you actually said, shows them under "What you said," and offers a stronger version under "Say it like this." You also see your strongest moment and a few concrete moves for next time.
For company-style and job posting interviews, you also get a 5-day prep plan.
Every scored session goes into Your record, where you can look back at past sessions and see how each skill is trending. Keep practicing for the same role and it will point out a gap that keeps coming up, so you can work on it on purpose.
Found a role you want? Paste the link to the job posting and Partner builds an interview around that exact role. It's a way to rehearse for the interview you actually have coming up, not a generic one.
If a link can't be read, try the posting on the company's own careers page.
Interviews are only part of a job search. Partner also has career practice sessions:
Partner is built for people interviewing for product design, product management and UX research roles. Use it whether you're going for your next role or a more senior one, or you just want to practice out loud before an interview that matters.
It works best on a computer. It also works on your phone, where you can keep going or email yourself a link for later. It needs microphone access and is built for Chrome, Edge and Safari.
Only you see your results. You can leave anytime.
Sessions are recorded to build your record and improve feedback. That covers audio and anything you choose to share on screen.
Your scorecard isn't shared with mentors automatically. You choose what to bring to a mentor session.
And if you want a person, live mentors are still here. Partner is for practice. Mentors bring the perspective of someone who has been on the other side of the table. When you're ready, your scorecard has a button to book a mentor for the real thing.
Partner is free to use right now.
