ADPList gave me a global stage to do something I was already doing locally — closing the knowledge gap for engineers who don't have access to senior mentors in their city or company. Being recognized as a Top 1% mentor isn't just a badge; it's a reminder that geography shouldn't limit ambition. It motivates me to show up every session as if it's someone's turning point — because sometimes, it genuinely is.
When I was in university, I felt the absence of a mentor deeply — there was no one I could reach for honest guidance, and I spent years figuring things out the hard way, breaking production and navigating the gap between university and real enterprise engineering alone. So when I grew into a leadership role in tech, I made a deliberate decision to be the person I needed back then, and to make sure the next generation of engineers in Egypt and the MENA region don't lose years the same way I did.
Stop chasing tools — chase problems. The engineer who deeply understands why a system fails will always outlast the one who just memorized how to deploy it.
