UX/UI Designer at Freelance

Being part of ADPList means having the opportunity to give support to people who felt lost or who lacked people who believed in them. It is a platform that allows me to help strengthen the skills of the next generation of designers and educate them on how to effectively challenge their own design decisions. Ultimately, it means being part of a community that is dedicated to lifting each other up and making the design world a more accessible and supportive space for everyone.

I wanted to become a mentor to help fellow designers build their confidence and strengthen their skills, especially during a job market that can feel like a confidence killer. It has also allowed me to grow as a senior designer by practicing the patience required to teach concepts repeatedly and to challenge others on their design decisions. Most importantly, I wanted to be a source of support for people who feel lost or lack believers in their corner, offering guidance on everything from portfolio polish to accessibility practices that go beyond standard WCAG compliance.

Master the basics, because a strong foundation in UX fundamentals is what allows you to confidently handle any project that comes your way. Remember that your voice matters and is needed to get work flowing—don't be afraid to speak up in meetings or push back when something doesn't serve the user. Finally, always advocate for accessibility and inclusion in your work, even when the market or stakeholders don't immediately see the value in it.
