ADPList reminds me that the design community thrives when knowledge is shared freely. It’s a space where experience meets curiosity, and where conversations can genuinely change someone’s trajectory. Being part of it feels less like mentoring… and more like contributing to a global circle of learning.

After spending more than 20 years in design, I realized that the hardest parts of a career aren’t about tools or skills… they’re about navigating uncertainty. I didn’t always have someone to guide me through those moments. Mentoring became my way of being that voice for someone else… helping designers move forward with a little more clarity and courage. Sometimes all a designer needs is someone who believes in them a little earlier than the world does.

Don’t chase trends… chase understanding. Tools and styles will change every few years, but clear thinking, curiosity, and strong fundamentals will carry you through an entire career.
