ADPList has become one of my favourite places to evangelize design and support people exploring it. I made a major pivot from engineering into design, and it completely changed the trajectory of my career. If I can help even a few people discover how creative, strategic, and impactful this field can be, it’s time well spent.

I’ve been incredibly lucky to have mentors who helped me navigate career pivots, job hunts, and the occasional bout of imposter syndrome. Mentoring felt like the natural way to pay that forward. The design community is one of the most generous communities out there, and I’m grateful to play even a small role in helping others find their footing.

Build strong relationships with the non-designers you work with. We’re trained to have empathy for users, but empathy for your colleagues - speaking their language, understanding their constraints, and inviting their perspective - often makes the difference between a great idea and a product that actually ships.
