Product Manager

Figma

About this interview

A spoken practice interview for a Product Manager role, run the way teams at Figma are known to interview. You talk out loud with an AI interviewer for four to six questions, with real follow-up probes, then get an honest read on where you stand.

How this interviewer behaves: Tool-maker PM: expert users, community pressure, platform bets. Reward user-segment judgment.

About the role

A Product Manager at Figma works on the design and whiteboarding tools other product teams live inside all day. Your users are practitioners who notice everything, and multiplayer turns every edge case into several. At this level you are expected to own a feature end to end and be trusted with the craft, while direction is still set with you rather than by you.

What you'd do

  • Decide whether you are building for the designer or the whole team around them.
  • Weigh a power-user feature against the collaboration it complicates.
  • Own an area: define the problem, write the spec, and ship it with design and engineering.
  • Choose the one metric that decides whether the launch worked, and say so plainly when it does not move.
  • Cut scope deliberately, and be explicit about what you are not doing.

What they look for

  • Judgment about depth versus accessibility in a tool people use every day.
  • Around three years shipping software, with a launch you can describe in real detail.
  • Comfort with data: you can pull the numbers yourself, and you know when they are lying to you.
  • Writing clear enough that a decision survives without you in the room.
  • Judgment about when to move fast and when being wrong is too expensive.

This is a practice interview, not a job posting. ADPList is not hiring for this role and is not recruiting on the company's behalf.

What this interview weighs most

  • How clearly you structure an answer under pressure
  • Concrete detail: numbers, tradeoffs, what you personally did
